Happy Mother’s Day
Happy Children’s Day! Enjoy!
The children were able to explore and learn about fire safety at school.
Making Koinobori (鯉のぼり), meaning ‘carp streamer’ . They are carp-shaped windsocks traditionally flown in Japan to celebrate Tango no sekku (端午の節句), a traditional calendrical event which is now designated as Children’s Day (子供の日, Kodomo no hi), a national holiday in Japan.
Children’s Day (こどもの日, Kodomo no hi) is a public holiday in Japan which takes place annually on May 5 and is the final celebration in Golden Week.

Grandparents Day is a special day to honor older generations
Suikawari (スイカ割り). Watermelon Splitting is a traditional Japanese game that involves splitting a watermelon with a stick while blindfolded.
Fire and earthquake safety classes for children are important to help them understand how to respond in emergency situations.
Autumn moon viewing, or Otsukimi has long been popular in Japan. Traditionally it was a way of expressing gratitude for a good harvest and hopes for a similar bounty in the future.
The children enjoyed the bedtime story during our pajamas day.
